Ron writes extensively on organizational change. Ron’s latest book is the HBR Leader’s Handbook: Make an Impact, Inspire Your Organization, and Get to the Next Level, published by the Harvard Business Review Press in 2019.

Ron lectures and conducts seminars on organizational transformation, acquisition integration, and simplification around the world. He has been on the faculty of executive education programs at major universities including Stanford Business School, the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern, and the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve. In 2012, Ron held an appointment as “executive-in-residence” at the Haas Business School of UC Berkeley where he focused on process innovation and simplification.

Ron received his BA from Wesleyan University, his EdM from Harvard University, and his PhD in Organizational Behavior from Case Western Reserve University, where he has also held several teaching assignments.

Dena Abergel began taking ballet classes at the age of six with Dorit Koppel at Progressive Dance Studio in Englewood, New Jersey. When she was twelve, she enrolled as a full-time student at the School of American Ballet, where she continued her training until she joined New York City Ballet at the age of eighteen.​

During her eighteen years as a member of New York City Ballet, Ms. Abergel performed in numerous works by George Balanchine and Jerome Robbins. She originated roles in Robbins’s West Side Story Suite; in Peter Martins’s Chichester Psalms, Harmonielehre, Symphonic Dances, The Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake and Romeo+Juliet; and in Christopher Wheeldon’s Carnival of the Animals, Variations Serieuses, and An American in Paris.

Ms. Abergel performed featured and soloist roles in a number of works by George Balanchine, including The Nutcracker®, Firebird, Coppélia, Swan Lake, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Brahms-Schoenberg Quartet.

Upon retiring from performing in 2009, Ms. Abergel joined SAB’s faculty and became NYCB’s Assistant Children’s Ballet Master. She was named Children’s Ballet Master at New York City Ballet in 2012. In her position with the Company, Ms. Abergel casts and rehearses children from SAB in all NYCB productions featuring roles for children, including George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker®, The Sleeping Beauty, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Swan Lake and Coppélia.

Ms. Abergel pursued college studies while a member of New York City Ballet and graduated summa cum laude in 2001 with a B.A. in English from Fordham University.

Rhonda Kaufman Malkin is a 1996 honors graduate of Woodbridge High School. During her senior year, Rhonda was the first student from WHS to “crack Disney” and win the Outstanding Dancer Award for the Disneyland Creativity Challenge, a competition open to Orange County performing arts students. Her 13 years of dance training at Irvine Dance Academy lead to a 17-year professional dance career in Los Angeles and New York City. While attending UCLA as a Sociology major, Rhonda performed as a Los Angeles Laker Girl for 3 years and received a championship ring for the 2000 inaugural season at Staples Center. After graduating UCLA in 2000, she attended seminary at Neve Yerushalayim and started upon her journey into Orthodox Jewish life. She continued dancing professionally, teaching dance, and choreography on the side while being a Radio City Music Hall Rockette for 12 years performing in multiple cities across America as well as Radio City Music Hall in the “Christmas Spectacular.” Rhonda was a Rockette Swing (memorizing all 36 Rockette dance tracks) for 7 of those years.

Some of Rhonda’s other credits include: “The Producers: The Movie Musical” directed & choreographed by Susan Stroman and dancing with Matthew Broderick, The Academy Awards choreographed by Kenny Ortega and dancing with the late Robin Williams, The MTV VMA’s performing with Panic at the Disco, MTV Movie Awards choreographed by Marguerite Derricks and dancing with Mike Myers, the film “Beautiful” directed by Sally Field and dancing with Minnie Driver, national commercials for Sears, Macy’s, CBS, and Westfield Shopping Towns, multiple live stage shows for Disney’s El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood and Hyperion Theatre at Disney’s California Adventure Park, The Today Show with Katie Couric, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, Martha Stewart, Regis and Kelly, Suddenly Susan with Brooke Shields, Mad TV, and a special performance in the East Wing at the White House for President Obama and the First Lady.

Rhonda loves seeing her students achieve success in the world of dance and is proud to have “bragging rights” where countless students have gone on to perform on Broadway, National tours, Cirque du Soliel, as Radio City Rockettes, NBA dance teams, JUBILLEE! in Las Vegas, Beyonce music videos, and international cruise ship shows.
In between NYC performances, Rhonda developed her FUSION EXERCISE fitness method over a 6-year period and has trained celebrities including Ivanka Trump, Jared Kushner, and Karlie Kloss. In May 2014, she was featured in SHAPE magazine and SHAPE.com with Ivanka.

Rhonda’s choreography talents lead her to choreographing for numerous live stage and livestream productions in NYC for Jewish artists Bracha Jaffe and Devorah Schwartz. She was Head Choreographer for Camp Maor for 8 years, recently taught at the prestigious FAME school—La Guardia High School of the Arts, and Manhattan High School.
As a Professional Dance Coach, she is honored to mention that 59 of her students have become Radio City Rockettes! This is Rhonda’s 30th year as a dance educator, and she is so grateful to all of you for your love and support!

Lisa Aronson Friedman is a biostatistician at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine by vocation, and a musician by avocation. But music is not a minor hobby for her. She studied classical piano for 13 years, studied music theory, voice and guitar, and was a member of several choirs including the Oberlin College Chorus. She dabbled in composition before becoming Torah observant, but the Torah, Jewish prayer and Tehillim (Psalms) are what motivated her turn to serious song composition and musical arrangement. Her love of music and desire to inspire other Jewish women with eternal Jewish themes let her to co-found the band Ayelet HaShachar (www.ayeletmusic.org), and to found Kol Zimrah Baltimore Women’s Choir. As Lisa approaches retirement as a biostatistician, she looks forward to spending more time involved with music, including teaching piano lessons. Miriam Leah (Droz) Gamliel is a thought leader with a doctorate in Educational Innovation residing in Montreal, Canada.

In her early career, she studied musical theatre and performed principal roles before adopting religious observance.  Once observant, she became a producer and arts administrator, instrumental in the formation and management of ATARA.  Outside of ATARA, she has directed a feature film, participated in arts-based fellowships, and can be seen as a principal performer in shows by Rachel’s Place and other charity-based events. 

In her professional life, she has worked as a Jewish studies librarian and school administrator.  She holds a BA from Barnard College in Theater and English, MLIS (Library-Information Science) from The University of Pittsburgh, MA in Jewish Studies from Touro College, and an EdD from YU’s Azrieli School of Jewish Education, with a dissertation focused on the social-emotional needs of creatively gifted students in Orthodox schools. 

She currently resides in Montreal where she directs a Sunday performing arts program and a women’s choir, hosts open mic nights and concerts, and partnered in creating Nshei Players, a recent local theater initiative with two original musicals.

Gayle Berman is an internationally recognized soprano, having performed as soloist throughout North America and Europe. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin, where she was a Metropolitan Opera Auditions Winner, she went on to perform leading roles with companies such as the Rome Festival Opera, Lake Geneva Opera Festival, San Antonio Opera, Boston Academy of Music and Madison Opera, as well as a soloist with Abendmusik, Choral Arts Society of New York, Chorus Pro Musica, Great Woods Festival, and with members of the Boston Symphony Orchestra.

Her operatic roles have included Violetta in La Traviata, the Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute, the title role in Susannah, Lucy in The Telephone, Mabel in Pirates of Penzance, Olympia in Les Contes D’Hoffmann, Norina in Don Pasquale, Frasquita in Carmen, Nannetta in Falstaff and in Sweeney Todd. Gayle has also served on the voice faculties of numerous American colleges and universities.

Since her aliya in 2008, has continued performing and teaching, was the music director of Raise Your Spirits Theatre for their productions of Judge! Song of Deborah (in which she played the title role) and Esther & the Secrets of the King’s Court, the Revival, and is the director of Kolot Etzion, one of the top women’s choruses in Israel.
